My First Impression with Hoka Clifton 8 Men’s Shoe
The HOKA ONE ONE Clifton 8 experiment turned out to have so much fun in it. I mostly go for the wide sizing due to the snug fit of Hokas in certain places.
However, this time around I used regular width. The normal Clifton 8 was lighter than the bulky wider one.
In the beginning, my flat feet were uneasy but running in them relieved me of that.
One day I went on a long run with them on my feet. Such a run made me feel that the new midsole is really stiff and even more rigid than that of Clifton 7.
Though it got soaked heavily under rain which filled it with a lot of water, it still had a perfect grip on wet streets.
The Clifton 8 let me speed up to drop below 5 minutes per kilometer and was very multi-purpose. My transitions were seamless and I felt like I was walking.
Afterward, when I finished my long-distance jogging, I could not believe how fresh my legs were!
Even after finishing running such strong cushioning made me feel comfortable.
When using Clifton 8s, these special traits become evident; they possess a supportive midsole as well as excellent traction during inclement weather conditions such as heavy rains.

This high cushioning leads to instability which could be addressed by broadening the platform base. However, this may not be a great choice for natural terrains that are uneven.

Weighing 9.1 ounces for men’s size 9.5, the Clifton 8 has an overall light design.
